Maintain An Optimum Highway Speed:

Highway driving that exceeds 100 kilometers per hour uses more fuel. Every 8 kilometers over the 100 km/h level is equivalent to paying an extra 7.4 cents per liter for gas. Observing the speed limit and not exceeding 100 km/h (where legally allowed) can improve mileage by 7-23%.
